A requirement for teaching/training experience is part of the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. It is a "in service" qualification created for persons who are employed as instructors or trainers in England or who aspire to do so. Pre-service teachers and trainers, who are individuals who are not officially employed as teachers and trainers, may also be able to earn this certification. Both pre-service and in-service applicants must have access to 100 hours of instruction.

Applicants who achieve this qualification will approach all facets of designing, carrying out, and evaluating inclusive teaching and learning analytically and practically. Candidates will show theories and concepts in their work while accomplishing this by integrating them into instruction and training.
